We took a couple days off for Spring Break and enjoyed a hiking trip. We had never been to Shades State Park, and oh my, what a hidden treasure. We loved it. It was so nice to enjoy the fresh air and the hike was more challenging than what we are used to. SO MUCH FUN! We had a great time together and a yummy picnic. It started to rain just as we finished our last trail for the day, so we headed to our hotel for some swimming, and then to supper. The next day we stopped in to Turkey Run State Park, but it was pretty muddy from the rain. We are hoping to head back to the area when the weather is warmer and we can canoe and let the boys ride the horses. So thankful we were able to get away for a couple days. Nothing more refreshing than being out in nature and enjoying God's creation.
